You don't get any closer to the fjord than in a kayak. Experience a characteristic west coast fjord and the open landscape around. The fjord in Gloppen is surrounded by peaks up to 1200 meters high. But at the foot, the slope eases off, which leaves room for small traditional Norwegian farms. The farmland so tightly squeezed in between the fjord and the mountains, makes Gloppen to a very scenic, beautiful and a bit different place to go kayaking.
Our professional guides bring you along on a journey both in the nature, culture and history. We're kayaking close to a protected bird nesting area, so there will for sure be a lot of wildlife around.
We bring along food from local producers, and stop on a suitable place to enjoy it.
No matter if you're an experienced kayaker or very new to the sport, we welcome you to explore the Gloppefjord together with us.
We start in Grandeparken in Sandane. We kayak over to a traditional boathouse close by, and explore an area with small islands and shoals where we're likely to see birds like shags, hooded gulls and black-backed gull. After passing a point we get a get view of the farming landscape on the south side of the fjord. The weather, the group and the time will decide where we go from there - but it will no matter what be exciting and spectacular.
If you want a longer or customized kayaking trip, please write us an e-mail, and we'll show you some hidden gems.
